Giving to THS
The Harbour School is a school where children are known for their strengths, and encouraged to learn, think and communicate at their optimal level. For children who are advanced in one or more areas, there is a welcome relief in being able to access and consider new material at an appropriate pace. We recognize that many children have gifts in one area, but may be more average or even struggle with other social, emotional or academic areas. It is not possible to address the individual needs of each child without a customized, individualized, comprehensive approach – and small classes!
Unfortunately, small classes cost money, and tuition alone cannot cover the additional costs of materials, technology, and personnel. Our continued ability to provide the small classes in which these children thrive is dependent upon the continued support of our donors and benefactors, others who believe in inclusive and customized education. Because we are a small school, each donation directly impacts the lives of our children and also helps further our goal of becoming a full primary school with two classes per year group.
